According to reports from SDNA.Gr, Greek club Panathinaikos are keen to sign Eboue Kouassi from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that the club’s sporting director Nikos Dabizas will use a trip to the UK to hold talks with the Bhoys over a potential move for the midfielder.
Kouassi joined Celtic from Krasnodar in January 2017. He was signed by former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers for a reported fee of £3 million but the 21-year-old has struggled to justify his price tag.
He struggled with injuries and a lack of game time. The youngster made 22 appearances in all competitions since his arrival from Russia, and it looks like his time at Parkhead is coming to an end.
He played just five games in all competitions last season, and probably does not feature in Neil Lennon’s immediate plans.
The report does not specify whether Panathinaikos want him permanently or on loan. He is still young, and a loan move away from the club could do a world of good for him.
