Sporting Lisbon 3-0 Everton

Everton struggled at Lisbon on Thursday as they were knocked out of the Europa League. The English side started out very conservative and defensive with a 2-1 lead from the first leg.

This plan was not effective as they had virtually no chances in the first half. Fortunately they were able to hold Sporting scoreless but the second half was a different story.

Sporting was the more aggressive team and eventually would score three unanswered goals to win 3-0 and 4-2 on aggregate. Everton can now focus on the Premier League as they are eliminated from other competitions.
