Tevez reveals transfer “conversation with Ancelotti”

Tevez reveals transfer “conversation with Ancelotti”

Oct 21, 2024 2:29 AM

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has revealed he spoke to Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti after leaving Manchester United about a possible move to Stamford Bridge, but says there was never any “concrete” offer.

Tevez moved to City last summer after the lack of a contract offer from local rivals Manchester United, who he’d been playing for since 2007. There was talk of the Argentine international looking at a move to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and of course, Chelsea.

The only club to offer a concrete offer though, it seems, was Man City, as Tevez revealed earlier this week:

“When Manchester United didn’t want me, I had a conversation with Ancelotti but there was never any concrete offer. I only ever talk about proper, written offers – and that was the case with City.

Tevez hit the winner against Chelsea at Eastlands on Saturday, ending the London clubs 100% record in the Premier League this season.
