Tottenham Hotspur might be on the up again under new manager Harry Redknapp but old boss Juande Ramos is eager to unsettle the balance as he is reportedly looking to sign Spurs’ Russian star Roman Pavlyuchenko (and a number of others as has already been reported).
And what’s more, the Russian international striker himself is eager to jump ship and move to Spain to play for Ramos’ new club Real Madrid. He has been quoted by The Telegraph as saying that he would be eager to sign for the Blancos if they came calling for him.
The 13.8 million pound summer signing from Spartak Moscow is quoted as saying:
“If they make an offer for me, of course I will go. They’re my favourite club in all of Europe and I only follow the Spanish La Liga so I know how they have played.”
If this comment is true (and it could be made up for all we know), Spurs might be looking for another replacement striker this January.
