Transfer Lens: Sneijder spotted in Manchester, Arsenal and Chelsea target off to Spain

Oct 9, 2024 1:21 AM

sneijdersneijderManchester Airport sarcastically replied from their official twitter account that long-term Manchester United midfield target Wesley Sneijder has been spotted in their Airport.

The reply from Manchester Airport’s twitter account comes after a United fan tweeted asking whether the Dutchman’s rumour linking with a move to Old Trafford has resurfaced once again.

“Sneijder to United rumour again God forbid if he ever gets spotted in Manchester Airport,” Twitter user Semper Fi : United tweeted.

The Manchester Airport was quick to reply from their twitter account saying they spotted Sneijder  buying a latte in Starbucks.

“@Stoic07 He’s here, I just saw him buying a latte in Starbucks… #YouHeardItHereFirst,” Manchester Airport replied to Semper Fi : United’s tweet.

The reply will surely be sarcastic as it is practically impossible for Sneijder to be spotted in Manchester Airport as he is currently in Brazil with the Holland squad, where they prepare to take on Argentina in the semi-final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.

All in all, it was a good humour from Manchester Airport’s twitter account, which could have possibly calmed down Sneijder rumours to United, at least for the time being.

Now getting to much more serious stuff, Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer has confirmed there is a verbal agreement for Chelsea and Arsenal striker target Mario Mandzukic to join Atletico Madrid.

“Matthias #Sammer reveals: “There is a verbal agreement between FC Bayern, Atlético Madrid and Mario #Mandzukic,” Bayern tweeted.

The two London clubs were keen on signing the Croatian international to strengthen their strike force. The Blues have already signed Diego Costa from the La Liga winners and  Mandzukic will replace the Brazil-born Spanish striker at Atletico.
