Chelsea in talks to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid
Colombian winger James Rodriguez has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer.
Since the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, James has struggled to hold down a first team place and has been benched for several key matches in the last 12 months.
According to Sport, Real Madrid are negotiating the sale of James Rodriguez with Chelsea. The Premier League side will have to pay around 70 million euros for the South American.
The report adds that Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane are both open to selling the player if a suitable fee can be agreed upon.
Chelsea could use James’ flair and creativity on their right wing and he could be a vital addition to Conte’s side. Furthermore, it would also allow their player of the year from last season, Willian, to play in his favoured central role, in behind the striker.
Arsenal winger Joel Campbell heading to Sporting Lisbon on loan
Arsenal have apparently agreed on a loan deal with Sporting Lisbon for the Costa Rican winger Joel Campbell.
Campbell has struggled to establish himself as a starter at Emirates and therefore the North London giants are looking to send him out on loan in order to get him some regular first team action.
The player has impressed at times for club and country, but his inconsistency has been a major issue.
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo are claiming that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs and Campbell will complete his move soon.
Campbell scored four goals in thirty appearances for Arsenal last season.
Finally, Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini could be offered a contract extension at Old Trafford if he continues to impress.
Jose Mourinho is apparently an admirer of the player and believes that the Belgian could be a valuable squad player.
Mourinho is ready to offer him an extension if he can win over the fans with his performances.
So far, Fellaini has been superb against Bournemouth and Southampton.
And according to Daily Mirror, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has decided to snub Chelsea.
Apparently, Everton are willing to offer him a long-term deal which will make him their best-paid player ever and the Belgian has informed Ronald Koeman that he will continue at Goodison Park beyond this summer.
