Arsenal defeated Lyon 6-0 in the Emirates cup and there were some absolute belters on show today.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring and was then joined by the likes of Ozil, Ramsey, Ox and Cazorla, who finished off the rout in style.

Arsenal seem to be in fine form during the pre-season and have already beaten two good teams comfortably. Having defeated Everton 3-1 earlier, the 6-0 thumping of Lyon sends out a clear message to the title contenders that Wenger’s side can be a force to be reckoned with.

With the likes of Ozil and Alexis on song, and the addition of Petr Cech, Arsenal do seem like a formidable unit next season.

Further, Wenger has been looking for a striker and the likes of Benzema and Lewandowski have been linked. If the Frenchman can pull it off, this might go down as the best window for Arsenal in the recent years.
