World Cup Fallout: England drop to 20th in FIFA World Rankings

Due to their disastrous World Cup campaign this summer, England have plummeted down the FIFA world rankings, now coming in at 20th, their lowest position in the table for 18 years.

Thanks to defeats to both Italy and Uruguay, England find themselves at the foot of the new-look top 20, with the likes of Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, USA, Greece and Costa Rica now above the Three Lions.

The rankings, which takes into consideration both the 2014 World Cup campaign and the last 46 friendlies, sees Germany, Argentina and the Netherlands make up the new top three, with Colombia and Belgium jumping up a number of spots to complete the top five. Humiliated hosts Brazil and deposed world champions Spain come in seventh and eighth respectively.

Roy Hodgson’s England were the biggest losers in the big reshuffle, dropping 10 places from 10th to 20th. The last time the Three Lions were so low was back in June 1996 when they slumped to 24th after failing to qualify for Euro 1996.

What do you think of the new rankings Are they accurate
